Peter Marinos

Peter is a NY-based actor who began performing at age two, singing and dancing for family and friends in the living room.

In the 60’s, he toured South America and Europe as a soloist with “Youth for Understanding Chorale.”

He holds a BA from Michigan State University.

Peter has recorded Ben Bagley’s “Cole Porter Revisited” with Elaine Stritch, Dolores Gray, and Katherine Hepburn. Cast albums include EVITA, ZORBA, KING OF HEARTS, SECRET GARDEN, and THE PRODUCERS.

Peter can be seen in Woody Allen’s film “Manhattan,” and his choreography has been featured on TV’s “All My Children”, “As The World Turns”, and “Kojac.”

Peter’s national credits include leads in CABARET, VIOLET, SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS, SWEENEY TODD, BOYS IN THE BAND, and THE KING AND I. He also co-wrote and starred in his one-man play CLOWN at the Michael Weller Theatre.

His Broadway debut was in 1976 when Bob Fosse cast Peter in CHICAGO as Mary Sunshine opposite Gwen Verdon, Chita Rivera, and Jerry Orbach.

In Evita’s American premiere, he took over the role of Magaldi opposite Patti LuPone. He would continue on with the Chicago & D.C. companies, singing “On This Night Of A Thousand Stars” over 1000 times.

Famed songwriters Kander and Ebb recommended Peter for the revival of ZORBA starring Anthony Quinn.

In the 80’s, Peter taught Acting at the University of Miami and made a quick exit when cast as Fakir in the workshop of THE SECRET GARDEN, performing the entire Broadway run.

An original cast member of Mel Brooks’ THE PRODUCERS, Peter enjoyed the laughter for the entire 6-year run almost as much as performing in the living room oh so many years ago…

John HaracOpos

John is second generation Greek.

Heavily influenced by his European upbringing and exposure to too many things, John fell in love with the arts.

It was no surprise that he discovered and fervently nurtured his talents, culminating into a career of dressing hair.

John developed a disciplined eye via his British-trained background.

His moxie and creativity was quickly noticed by the infamous Yusuke Suga, who operated his eponymous salon— Suga Salon, an iconic New York spot for a decade before his passing.

In 1990, John teamed up with Laurance LaCause to spread his wings and work in a boutique setting.

Now, after 31 years at A Private Studio, he exclusively free-lances, styling select clients.

En route, John met Peter late one Friday night on September 26th, 1997 heading home underground. By the following Wednesday, they were living together.

They married on their 19th anniversary. 25 years and counting, it’s been a long, happy accident.
